Program Content
The Department of Climate Change and Policies, established in 2022 within the Institute of Science at Akdeniz University, has begun accepting students for the 2022-2023 academic year. The Climate Change and Policies Thesis Master's Program is open to all students who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree and wish to specialize in climate change, particularly graduates of the Faculties of Engineering, Science, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Architecture. The program's faculty consists of faculty members specialized in environmental engineering, agricultural engineering, aquaculture engineering, and landscape architecture.
The Climate Change and Policies Thesis Master's Program covers topics such as water and wastewater disaster management, sustainable urbanization, combating climate change in cities, environmental risk assessment, water resources management, aquatic organisms, waste management policies, agricultural production systems, renewable energy policies, development, drought, soil management, circular economy, European Union policies, and greenhouse gas emission management.

The Climate Change and Policies Master's Program offers interdisciplinary training in all areas affected by climate change, particularly air, water, ecosystems, energy, agriculture, and urbanization. The interdisciplinary master's program in Climate Change and Policies provides graduates of the Faculties of Engineering, Science, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Architecture who wish to specialize in climate change with multidisciplinary training from faculty members from various disciplines, equipping them with the expertise to address climate change and policy issues from a multidisciplinary perspective. This allows our graduates to serve as expert researchers who will contribute to the expansion of climate change research in our country, as well as climate change experts needed in many areas of the private sector.
